What Is the DSE GT PGT Final List 2025?
The DSE GT PGT Final List 2025 represents the concluding phase of recruitment for Graduate and Post Graduate Teachers in Government and Provincialised Secondary Schools of Assam.
With the SOP now active and district preferences already submitted, the department will finalize:
- District-wise allotments, and
- School-wise postings based on merit, category priority, and need-based vacancies.
Applicability of the SOP
The SOP applies to all newly appointed Graduate Teachers (GT) and Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) under the DSE, Assam, who were selected through the 27 December 2023 advertisement.
It covers both Government and Provincialised Secondary Schools, but excludes Sixth Schedule Districts (Karbi Anglong, West Karbi Anglong, Dima Hasao).
Key Highlights of the SOP
1️⃣ Merit & Reservation Policy
All placements are strictly based on merit list ranking and the Government of Assam’s reservation policy.
2️⃣ District Preferences (✅ Already Completed)
Candidates have already submitted their district choices through the District Preference Portal. These will now be used to generate the final district allotment list.
3️⃣ Category Priority
When multiple candidates compete for the same district vacancy:
- PwBD (Physically Challenged) candidates get first priority
- Female candidates next
- Male candidates thereafter
4️⃣ Need-Based Vacancy Identification
Inspectors of Schools in each district have been instructed to finalize vacancies based on:
- Pupil-Teacher Ratio (PTR)
- Provincialised schools of 2013
- Amalgamated schools (Class I–X / I–XII)
- Recently upgraded secondary schools
5️⃣ District Level Committee (DLC)
For Provincialised Schools, each district forms a DLC consisting of:
- Deputy Commissioner (Chairperson)
- Inspector of Schools (Member Secretary)
- District Elementary Education Officer (Member)
- Principal of a Higher Secondary School (Member)
- Headmaster of a High School (Member)
The DLC reviews merit lists and vacancies, prepares recommendations, and forwards them for Guardian Minister approval.
6️⃣ Final Posting Orders
- For Provincialised Schools, Inspectors of Schools will issue final school-wise posting orders after approval.
- For Government Schools, teachers will report to the Director of Secondary Education, Kahilipara, who will issue the official posting notifications.
